
4 cups eggnog
1 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp ground cloves
2 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup grated Mexican chocolate
In a large saucepan, whisk together eggnog, nutmeg, cloves and cocoa powder until well combined. Heat the eggnog mixture over low to medium-low heat until simmering; do not boil.
Slowly add the Mexican chocolate and whisk until the chocolate is melted.
Serve in 6 ounce heatproof cups or mugs. Garnish each serving with a sprinkle of chocolate shavings.
You can also add an ounce of rum, brandy or bourbon into the mug.
