Creamy Celery Root
Cook five pounds of celery root or turnips in boiling water until tender. Drain and let sit until dry.
8oz. cream cheese
3 Tbsp. fresh chopped chives (dried chives will work as well
1 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. salt
6 TBSP. butter
2 cups heavy whipping cream
Paprika for garnish
Combine celery root/turnips, cream cheese, chives, garlic, pepper, salt, 4 Tbsp butter in food processor. Process until combined, then gradually add heavy cream. Do not over mix. Just until blended in. Place in a greased 9x13 baking dish. Dot with 2 Tbsp butter; sprinkle with paprika. Bake 30 minutes in a 375 oven.
